Ringing in the New Year
Why are we surprised every time we find ourselves on the doorstep of the New Year? Is it because we realize that a year isn’t as long as we thought way back in January? Are we fearful of the uncertainty and promise the New Year brings? Or is it the realization of all the accomplishments the ending year brought?
At Otherwise, we’re welcoming 2012 by wrapping up 2011 and reflecting on all the changes and progress we made in the last 12 months. And what an eventful 12 months they were.
From our encompassing rebranding and new identity development for several national and international organizations to our rapidly growing social media programs, the Otherwise staff has risen to the occasion. Take the new identity we designed and developed for the W.K. Kellogg Foundation. Thanks to the tireless work of our design staff and collaborations with ROI Ventures, we were able to illuminate and clarify the essence of the organization and energize the staff.
The Ritz-Carlton Residences, Chicago, Magnificent Mile—one of our loyal clients and a cornerstone of our social media practice—experienced significant progress in 2011. As the building nears completion (delivery is expected in early 2012), we have solidified the Simply Magnificent blog as a one-of-a-kind web resource for ultra-luxury living in Chicago, while simultaneously drumming up international interest in the building. We look forward to the grand opening, and continuing to be a resource to residents and the greater Magnificent Mile in 2012.
Sure, reflecting on 2011 is all well and good, but we’re even more excited to begin 2012. With our close partnership with EXPO CHICAGO, several website redesigns for McCaffery Interests and a new phase of our involvement with Salon Buzz all shaping our schedule for early 2012, we certainly have our work cut out for us.
Last, but far from least, the freshly expanded Otherwise staff is taking serious initiative to build a more profound digital presence for our agency with the newly established OTHERSIDE blog. As the living, breathing document of the minds and personalities at work here in our studio, the introduction of OTHERSIDE denotes a new era for Otherwise.
As this year ends and another begins, we reflect on our accomplishments and those who helped us achieve them. To all the clients, partners, collaborators, doers and thinkers that make up the Otherwise family: We look forward to working with all of you in the coming year. Happy Holidays!
