Our engagement with Optima began in late 2018. A vertically-integrated real estate company that serves as the owner, architect, developer and general contractor, Optima creates lasting communities in the Modernist discipline.
At the outset, we focused on illuminating their brand through creating a new messaging platform to describe their unique and compelling beliefs, approaches, values and promises. The cornerstone insight that resulted is the new Optima tagline, Forever Modern. Forever Modern recognizes the invincible throughline for the role of design in the brand, and the timeless, connecting legacy embedded in the Modernist discipline. Simple, transparent, honest and optimistic, the tagline serves as a badge of honor, celebrating the impact of great design.
With fresh language in place, we turned our attention to designing a new website to showcase Optima’s deep portfolio. We undertook the site as an exercise in Modernist graphic design, harkening back to great traditions of space, typography and color to deliver a user experience that allows visitors to discover the rich facets of the company with ease and flexibility.
We continue to feed the site through its robust blog, as we write thoughtful pieces on Architecture & Design, Art & Sculpture, Optima Culture, Resident Life and Sustainability. The blog allows us to continue to explore Optima’s vision and values, while expanding the discussion of the broader context of Modernist architecture, design and art.
