It operates from the simple premise that when we bring the greatest gifts of our humanity to the table — compassion, generosity, tenacity, creativity, and faith — we can join with kindred spirits to create conditions that lift all boats. In 2023, Otherwise joined forces with BigHeart to reposition, clarify, and elevate their brand.

Since its inception, BigHeart has been transporting disruptive technologies and processes from the commercial sector to the not-for-profit space. With their iconoclastic approach to adaptive reuse — at once pragmatic and deeply insightful — they have learned how to deliver whole-person health and wellness to underserved communities. Today, the BigHeart platform brings telemedicine, culturally-informed learning and wellness programs, and virtual community-building to trusted faith-based and nonprofit organizations.

The BigHeart visual identity speaks to many things simultaneously — harmony, optimism, energy — and so much more. It strikes a simple balance between the elegant stability of the logotype and the lightness of the icon. It demonstrates a sensibility that is grounded and wise with a keen understanding of how technology can be deployed to unify and support. And most of all, the BigHeart visual identity exudes warmth and humanity, especially when paired with the tagline, DO GOOD BETTER. DO BETTER BIGGER.

Otherwise conceived the BigHeart website to introduce the powerful consumer-centric platform to leaders and funders looking to build engagement in their communities.
