Founded by Traci Sanderson and Rick Claes, Blue Oak Partners began with a passion to live in California's wine country that transformed into a vision to develop exceptionally designed homes in beautiful places. With more homeowners looking to take flight from the density of urban areas amidst the pandemic, we collaborated with Blue Oak Partners to give shape to their brand and position the business for new opportunities and scale. Our objectives were to develop a relevant, distinctive and ownable brand for Blue Oak Partners and establish them as a model for luxury lifestyle development in the Northern California region (including Napa Valley and Lake Tahoe). We began with a brand strategy grounded in the belief that people thrive when they can be inspired, be restored and be themselves. Blue Oak Partners was born from a sense of wonder and curiosity, and we sought to cultivate a brand that celebrates this passion.
This work revealed an elegant and charming brand that resonates with those who seek the comforts of home and the spirit of adventure. Rooted in artistry, hospitality and curiosity, we positioned Blue Oak Partners as a guide to life’s next chapter that celebrates everyday luxuries and thoughtful surprises by meticulously crafting homes in stunning surroundings.
We coined complementary taglines that work in tandem to tell the Blue Oak story: Exceptionally designed homes in stunning surroundings. and Taking root. The visual identity leverages a refined serif typeface and an oak leaf motif, and their love of nature comes out in the color palette to together evoke luxury, style and an adventurous spirit.
With the messaging and identity in place, we also developed marketing collateral and a stunning website that perfectly captures the new Blue Oak Partners brand.
