The development of nearby tech HQs, along with a steady increase in inbound migration to Nashville, presents savvy real estate developers with enormous opportunity. This is certainly the case with our client Place Development, which together with Compass Development Services brought Otherwise into a new luxury condominium project in the storied Germantown neighborhood. This curated collection of 70 condominium residences thoughtfully integrates into the fabric of this extraordinary place, with a classically-modern design that honors the area’s historical roots.

Our work on brand strategy led us to the name ASTER, aimed at Nashville tastemakers and trendsetters. Native to Tennessee, asters are colorful, star-shaped flowers that bloom each year predictably and reliably. Asters are also a symbol of love and wisdom in Greek mythology, taking their name — which means “star” — from the Greek goddess Astraea. ASTER is also a subtle nod to Nashville’s nickname, The Athens of the South. Organic in nature and classic in its roots, ASTER conjures images of a beautiful and lush life.
