In order to build authentic and organic buzz for Chicago’s new, prestigious international contemporary art fair, Otherwise has conceived and developed a one-of-a-kind social media program, complete with an online publication and numerous ancillary platforms. The Seen, the official blog of EXPO CHICAGO, is Chicago’s international art and design blog. The Seen serves as a living journal as the fair takes shape, while simultaneously positioning the event as a leader in collaborative new media in the international art world. The Seen thrives upon the contributions made by EXPO CHICAGO staff, fair exhibitors, Chicago tastemakers, global curators and international art enthusiasts, all under the direction of the Otherwise social media staff. Our social media work with EXPO CHICAGO has solidified The Seen as a go-to resource for thought provoking content surrounding the world of contemporary art. To date, we have employed Facebook and Twitter to further amplify the online presence of EXPO CHICAGO and to continue to build an engaged community.
